Bio

I serve as the pastor of CrossHope Chapel, a nondenominational church in West Mobile, Alabama with relaxed gatherings, prayer support, simple worship, and fellowship around expository verse by verse Bible teaching with open discussions.

My philosophy of ministry is centered on the verses of Acts 6:4 and Ephesians 4:11, which means that I am most passionate about praying for our people and ministering the Word of God to them as a “pastor and teacher.”

Since giving my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, (you can read about my miracle conversion at my personal testimony page) I have been involved in vocational church ministry beginning in the early 1980’s as an itinerary revivalist, hospital chaplain, and senior pastor with churches and ministries in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama.

have invested 30 years of my adult life in protestant church ministry, first affiliated with Adventist churches (read I Was Once An Adventist Minister), then with Southern Baptist churches, and now non-denominational.

I hold degrees in religion and pastoral ministry from Southern Adventist University , post-graduate Clinical Pastoral Education with University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia and Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.

I have served as a hospital chaplain with Providence Hospital in Mobile, Alabama and have written several books including Prayer is the Answer, Ask the BibleDaily Promise One-Minute DevotionalsYour Wedding Ceremony, and Simple Wedding Ceremony Planning Guide.

If I am not behind my Bible teaching, you will likely find me at the beach officiating a wedding. I have a very active beach wedding and vow renewal officiating ministry along the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Alabama, and NW Florida.

My family and I live in Mobile, Alabama and that includes my beautiful wife Steph, and I have been blessed with four children, two grandchildren, and our family pets Keef (a Dachshund), Jael (a German Shepherd), and Rocky (a Blue Heeler mix).
