“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord” Acts 3:19 (NIV)
We are a fallen people, but we have a risen Savior, so let us be quick to repent of our sins. When temptation arises resist rehearsing the excuses that keep you from victorious living and turn from yourself to your Savior. Have faith in the forgiveness of Christ’s grace and repent from participating in sin.
Yes, Jesus died for your sins on Calvary, but just having an intellectual assent to that won’t forgive your sins. We must act by believing Christ, receiving His forgiveness in faith, and then turning away from our sin in repentance.
Let’s pray today that we will keep our heart and soul fixed on the Savior’s grace, not ourselves.
