I want to share a link to a blog post that does a good job at articulating the points regarding President Trump’s haters in the church: https://mariomurilloministries.wordpress.com/2018/06/08/christians-who-hate-trump/.
It seems to me that the political left in the church have been louder against Trump than the political right in the church ever were with Obama. The arguments have at least been different, because in the Obama years the outrage was over his policies, but so far during these Trump years the outrage has been over his personality.
Sadly, being in the church is not the same as being in the Bible, because according to Daniel 2:21, God chose Donald Trump to sit in the White House. Of course, Daniel 2:21 also tells us that God chose Obama to sit in the White House. The verse says “he removeth kings, and setteth up kings” and the context is God using global politics for His ultimate end of sending Jesus Christ back to earth to redeem His church.
So if you are in the church and you don’t like President Trump, that’s fine. I’m happy for you to have a place somewhere within the larger community of the church. However, I encourage you to stop fretting about a temporal president that God has placed on the timeline of His countdown to the return of a forever King Jesus.
